All staff positions are residential positions and eligible applicants are required to be at least 18 years of age unless otherwise indicated. Some staff positions require a particular certification (lifeguard, NAA archery instructor, CMP Riflery, H.S.A., OLS, Ropes Course, etc) and all staff are required to obtain CPR and First Aid certifications before beginning staff training (Camp offers many of these trainings free of charge). Salary for most positions ranges between $1800 and $3000 for the summer. Salaries are based on the following criteria:

Cabin Counselors

Cabin counselors are directly responsible for the campers assigned to their cabin. Their primary responsibility is to care for the campers in their cabin. All staff are expected to set a strong Christian example for campers and other staff. They are also responsible for health and wellness of campers, cleanliness of cabin, planning cabin activities and devotions, participating in all evening programs, coverage during recreational swim, cabin and individual morale, occasional weekend coverage and assisting or leading 2-3 instructional activities each day. In addition, Counselors will be called on to lead a devotion in the cabins at night alternating with their co-counselor. Minimum requirements: at least 19 years old, desire and ability to work with children, ability to lead camp related activities.



Village Director


The Village Director will plan, direct and supervise all activities that involve their age group. Responsibilities include early arrival to set up evening activities and receive required training, teaching staff responsibilities during staff training, maintenance of all assigned equipment, supervision of  activities, supervision of all village staff, maintain inventory of supplies, and assistance in other areas of camp as needed. Minimum requirements: at least 20 years old, with camping experience preferred.





Waterfront Director


The Waterfront Director will plan, direct and supervise all aquatic activities in camp. Responsibilities include early arrival to set up waterfront area and receive required training, teaching staff responsibilities during staff training, maintenance of all assigned equipment, supervision of all waterfront activities, supervision of all waterfront staff, cleanliness of waterfront area, maintain inventory of supplies, and assistance in other areas of camp as needed. Minimum requirements: at least 20 years old, Certified Lifeguard with at least 3 years experience, motorboat driving experience, sailing and water-skiing experience preferred.




Head Wrangler

The Head Wrangler will lead and supervise all equestrian activities in camp. Responsibilities include arriving early to train horses, health and wellness of horses, evaluation of campers, leading horseback riding lessons, supervising assigned riding staff, cleanliness of equestrian facilities, maintenance of equipment, and assistance in other areas of camp as needed. Minimum requirements: at least 21 years old, prior experience teaching horseback riding lessons, ability to supervise riding staff, knowledge of horse science and health care.



Office Assistant

The office assistant will be assigned to the office to assist the office manager with filing, sorting mail, copying and other office related tasks. Additional responsibilities will include managing the camp store, organizing certificates and photos, assisting with scheduling, check-in and check-out of campers on opening and closing days. Minimum requirements: PC skills and familiar with Access, Word and Excel.


Kitchen Assistant

Kitchen assistants will be assigned to the kitchen to assist food service manager with preparation, serving and clean up for all meals served in camp. Responsibilities include food preparation, dishwashing, mopping and scrubbing of kitchen surfaces, unloading supply truck, trash removal, and other duties as assigned by food service manager. Minimum requirements: at least 17 years old, must be able to lift a minimum of 50 lbs. without assistance, must be able to stand for long periods of time.


Housekeeper

The housekeeper is directly responsible for the cleanliness of camp. Responsibilities include cleaning restrooms, health care center, dining hall, guest rooms, large area program buildings, main office and laundry. Minimum requirements: at least 17 years old, must be able to climb ladders and lift a minimum of 50 lbs. without assistance.


Groundskeeper

The groundskeeper assists the Maintenance Supervisor in maintaining the grounds. Responsibilities include lawn mowing, weeding, painting, minor carpentry, replacing light bulbs and screens, and other duties as assigned by the Maintenance Supervisor. Minimum requirements: at least 18 years old, must be able to climb ladders and lift a minimum of 50 lbs. without assistance, ability to use and repair small motors a plus.


Night Watchman

The night watchman will patrol the grounds after dark. Some assistance with maintenance and housekeeping is required. This position requires walking for long periods of time as well as the ability to remain awake at night. Minimum age 21.
