MADS JACKSON
Camp Crosley is excited to welcome Mads Jackson into her new role as Groups & Retreats Coordinator! With deep roots at Crosley and a heart for creating meaningful experiences, Mads brings both passion and perspective to this role. We sat down with her to learn more about her story and what groups can expect when they come to camp.
Mads’ Camp Crosley journey began as a camper, attending camp starting at age 9 alongside her older sister and cousins. Nearly a decade later, she returned to camp thanks to encouragement from her younger sister, this time as summer staff. For the past two summers, Mads has served on our summer staff and serving groups on the weekends, and she’s thrilled to step into her third year on staff in this new leadership role.
What excites Mads most about working with groups and retreats is the opportunity for a more personalized camp experience. Unlike the fast-paced summer schedule, group and retreats allow space to slow down, be intentional, and tailor activities, games, and programs to each group’s unique goals. Creating those customized moments is where Mads really shines.
Camp has always held a special place in Mads’ heart. Growing up, she attended several camps through Girl Scouts, but none ever felt quite like Crosley. The history, traditions, songs, and most importantly the people made Camp Crosley a safe place where she could be unapologetically herself at a young age. Now, as an adult, she’s grateful to give back to campers in the same way her counselors once did for her.
Here’s something that might surprise you: at just 16 years old, Mads performed on the Grand Ole Opry stage in Nashville, Tennessee with her high school show choir!
Whether it’s watching a sunset over the lake, taking a leap of faith on the high ropes course, or singing together around a campfire, Mads hopes every group discovers the magic found in camp’s small moments, and in sharing those moments with others.
We’re so excited to see the impact Mads will have on groups and retreats at Camp Crosley. If you’re planning a retreat, reunion, or group experience, you’re in great hands.
