Camp Crosley Development Assets

To better understand what helps young people thrive, the Search Institute developed the Developmental Assets framework. This research identifies 40 essential building blocks that support healthy growth, character development, and positive decision-making in children and adolescents.

Together, these assets serve as benchmarks for strong youth development and highlight the vital role that families, schools, faith communities, neighborhoods, and youth organizations play in shaping a young person’s future. At Camp Crosley, this framework helps guide our programming, staff training, and camper experiences, ensuring that every activity is intentionally designed to build confidence, character, and meaningful relationships.
